Monoethylene Glycol Corrosion Inhibitor is a specially formulated chemical additive for monoethylene glycol systems to protect the system metals from corrosion. It is a multi-metal corrosion inhibitor highly recommended to prevent degradation of glycol.

Glycol in presence of heat and air degrades into five organic acids namely glycolic acid, Glyoxalin acid, Formic Acid, Carbonic Acid and Oxalic acid. Metal acts as a catalyst in an un-inhibited glycol solution for the formation of these acids, which then chemically attacks and corrodes the system. Due to immense corrosion in the system, the rust in the metal system makes the glycol turn red in colour. At this time the glycol in the system is fouled with iron contaminants which increase the glycol degradation rate. It is important to add corrosion inhibitor to the glycol system to avoid such degradation of glycol.

Handling Measures
and Precautions

Proper human safety products such as splash goggles, lab coat, vapour respirator, NIOSH approved gloves and boots should be worn while handling and applying chemicals. Splashes on the skin should be washed off with water immediately. In case of splashing into the eyes, flush them with fresh water and obtain medical attention. Should not be injected.

Storage

Should be stored in original vented containers, away from heat, direct sunlight and combustibles. Store in a cool and dry place. Please refer label and SDS for details.
